YAY!! Yesterday my package arrived from the vintage-sheet fat-quarter swap, hosted by miss Kellie at green tea and red nails. This is the first swap I have taken part in. I cut up a few big cotton sheets into fat quarters (quilting lingo for 18 x 22 inch squares of fabric), and posted them off with a self addressed envelope to our lovely host...

I have been so busy since then, that I had sort of forgotten all about it. So you can imagine my amazement when I discovered that one of my parcels yesterday was from someone who had the EXACT same handwriting as me... I was stunned for about 30 seconds until I realised what was going on...

...ha ha, yes well, brain fade aside, they couldn't have arrived at a better time, as today I finished MY quilt!! I am so proud and so happy. It is my first big quilt, measuring about 2 x 2 meters. I only have a sneaky peek for you of the quilt being stuffed into the washing machine....

Today I also started a herb garden, potted some succulence, had a nice long shower, read a magazine with a face mask on, ate a whole date loaf with lots of butter and picked up a few scores from the lions-club shed-sale, which is like a garage sale on steroids. What an awesome day!!!

Tomorrow is mothers day - sheesh, today is going to be hard to beat :)

Anyway, I hope you have a great mum's day tomorrow...

I have lots of treats in store for you in the next few days......... I can't wait to show you...

Gotta go.

Mwah!!!

  3. I was also in the sheet swap and it was my first! I have been visiting you regularly since your little bit in Frankie. The mum guilt thing has stopped me from ordering a glorious dress from you but NO MORE. Today is the day, right now in fact...:)
