400th Blog post - fabric giveaway!
I am sitting at my kitchen bench, drinking my very strong morning coffee and waiting for it to start running through my body. I have become way too dependent on my morning caffeine. So much so that I will get a headache if I go without and I will be in a foul mood. I am starting to think that maybe I should detox and kick my coffee dependency. Yes. Maybe one day, but not right now. I am preparing to holiday in September and I have a whole lot I would like to finish in the coming weeks leading up to it. Feeling sick and grumpy is not part of the plan. A spring detox, maybe...
ANYWAY! I sat down to write this post while I drank my coffee and realised that this would be post #400 which I suppose is a bit of a milestone. So I want to give away a special prize to say a massive thank you to my loveliest readers, those of you who have been around since the beginning and those who have just found me. Thank you all so much for the endless encouragement. The kind comments that always brighten my day. The gorgeous emails that remind me that there are so many vintage loving, crafty souls out there in the world! You are all amazing and I am endlessly grateful for your support. This giveaway is open world wide and all you have to do is leave a comment to enter.
I have excitedly put together this cute prize. This precious vintage tin with all its contents. So far there is a vintage fabric bundle of FQ's, a fabric bow for your hair or to wear as a brooch, a cute pair of resin earrings and a cat pendant necklace...
Leave a comment! Feel free to share on your FB page, Instagram or blog and then tell me in the comments to gain extra entries... I will draw the winner on Saturday morning. I love giveaways! I love entering them and I love offering them. Enter away!! Happy Tuesday beautiful people.

a little bit indulgent...
After a month of yuckness and feeling like crap I decided to celebrate the fact that I am feeling healthy again by spoiling myself a little bit. A bunch of flowers, a gorgeous new candle and a booking for a hot stone massage and facial. It was just the treat I needed. Too often I skip the pampering in favor of more practical necessities like groceries and rent, but not today and I don't regret it. I was in and out of sleep as my therapist massaged my face and head, I think I almost started snoring at one point. The hot stone treatment was the perfect way to warm up on a wet and wintery afternoon.
The weather here in the Southwest is quite stormy with record rainfall. Definitely the best kind of weather to be rugged up indoors. Outside the rain is pouring and the wind is squalling, but my pretty little shack is warm and infused with the smell of the sweetest vanilla from my candle, and I am feeling relaxed and pampered and ready to settle in for some evening stitchery...
I have had a fantastic week sewing. I finished a handful of very special dresses including some bridesmaids dresses and I am preparing to cut my latest custom orders. I have been on a fabric buying rampage and I am expecting endless parcels over the coming weeks. Mail days are the best days... I will leave you with some pictures of my latest creations. I hope you are warm and safe wherever you may be. Bec xx

back in the studio...
All of my sorting and culling and folding and cleaning has paid off, as I now have a studio that I can actually work in, rather than just a fabric storage room. No doubt I will still spend most of my time sewing in the living area but for now this is just what I need...
Despite still coughing and spluttering and sneezing my head off I am feeling a million times better than I have for a few weeks and I did cut out some dresses today. It feels good to be making and creating again. Of course it always helps when a parcel full of delicious new fabric arrives on your doorstep...

Cabin fever...
Greetings from the sugar shack. This is where we have been holed up for the last three weeks. We are still sick!! I don't think I have ever been so unwell for so long. I have been putting my sick days to good use though. Occasional bursts of energy have seen me rearranging the house and sorting through fabric. I have filled a huge tub full of fabric bundles to sell from my caravan. I have culled many fabrics that have been taking up precious work space in my studio. I have cleared out a few projects that I have not made any progress on, leaving me with a less cluttered home and a less cluttered brain.
Despite the lurgy hanging around I have felt rather inspired and my trusty notebooks have been getting a good old work out. Thinking about spring photo-shoots and setting up my caravan as a pop up shop. Any who, I am in the middle of making dinner so I will let the pictures do the talking. I hope you are all well and happy, wherever you may be xx
