Hi my friends!! How are you?? Is it Friday? my goodness...

I hope you have all had a better week than I. We are still out of action in the naughty household, and after a visit to the doctors late yesterday it looks like things may get a bit worse before they get better.  Dr Carr's diagnosis of a thumping earache (likely to perforate her eardrum...again...second time in a month!!) was very sad news. I am amazed at how little my small person complains.

I am feeling a bit better. I seem to have overcome my tummy bug only to wake up with swollen glands and a blocked nose - awesome.

I still have my energy back though - sort of at least - enough to certainly fit in a spot of sewing - when the small person allows it, of course. So I have set up back on the kitchen table - which is hilarious seeing as I stole the large farm table and put it in my studio. It now sits (covered in stuff to put away) in my sewing room, while I cram as much as I can onto the small table in my kitchen.

I thought to do something special for my little lady and make her a doll blanket. It only took me a couple of hours to make - but it was a big effort in the state I was in. I was so pleased when I wrapped it up to give to her. She promptly threw it on the floor and told me ' i dont want it' and had a little tantrum.

I have heaps of work to do - so I had better at least try to get some done. Thanks so much for all of the well wishes and love. You guys are the best.

Bec x

  5. Dress progress is amazing considering status of your house/toddler/addled brain. Miss Liongirl had back to back sinus infections for about 10 weeks. Finally off antibiotics for 1 week and not yet sick, I am too scared to even breathe. Love the dolly blanky. Perhaps threaten to post it over here to our belligerent 2 yo and your toddler might suddenly want it. take care.xx

  8. I am sorry to hear about your sickly misfortune. The stomach bug is not so much fun when you need to get things accomplished. As far as the ear ache goes, have you considered tubes? My son just had them put in and it is a night and day difference. I hope you guys feel better soon. I love your blog and use it as inspiration. The creations you come up with are fantastic.
    Happy sewing,

I spied a familiar brown floral print & couldn't help but smile....NO rush there Lovey....!

  10. Oh that's sad that the little one didn't appreciate the doll blanket. Funny how kids are sometimes!

Look at all those lovely dresses lined up! Looks like you do the assembly line sewing. I end up doing everything like that when I'm working with mass quantities, makes everything so much easier!

I adore your blog and hope you are feeling better soon!

  11. Just think when you are all better how totally amazing you will feel. We recovered from our illnessess a couple of weeks ago and I just have so much more energy, and of course a few sunny days have helped too.

Think I can see my dress. Whoop, whoop. So looking forward to expanding my wardrobe and wearing non maternity clothes. Only 2 weeks to go! x

i would have hung onto that dollies blanket around something here and not had a little tanty- it's sooo gorgeous- but i don't have an ear ache- so she's entitled...

bet she loves it again today- love all your spotlight finds...
you made me giggle- i often end up back on the kitchen table from my sewing room over the holidays!!!
