Introducing frankie-sunday!
After a Friday of playing around with different collars, I have a new dress design to offer you. I am calling this the frankie-sunday dress. It features a sweet peter pan collar, a pleated waistline, full skirt and a sensibly short length. It doesn't show off quite as much leg as the sleeved summer dress. A perfect dress for any time of the year! I am looking forward to layering it with tights and boots and sweet cardigans as the weather cools down.
Talking of boots. I have had my eye on these burnt orange, suede riding boots for a couple of months. After writing my last blog post I jumped in my car and drove straight to town to try them on. I wore them all weekend with my new dress and cute little ankle socks. I'm feeling inspired to get a few outfit shots for you, as soon as I pick up my newly repaired camera (yes, its broken, again...)
So the weekend was a big mish-mash of market shopping, basket buying, garage sale-ing, breakfast eating, late-night visiting, afternoon napping, sandcastle building and house cleaning... There was a garage sale across the road from my house on Sunday morning where I found this incredible antique bed that I just couldn't leave behind and also this very lovely old sewing machine. Its in need of a service but it is so very lovely.
Late yesterday afternoon I was struck by a gnarly tummy bug, I hear there is a nasty 24 hour thing going around at the moment. So rather than feeling refreshed after an amazing weekend I am feeling sore and achy in my bones and joints. And a little weak. And a little bit sorry for myself. Boo hoo. I am definitely feeling better than I did last night, so I am sure I will be back to myself in no time.
I hope you are well and happy, wherever you are in the world. Bec x

snuggle-town!
It might be 30 degrees and humid, but I am in snuggletown! The fresh mornings and grey skies have me dreaming of cooler days. I have dug out the crochet hook and a massive sack of wool that I collected from the opshop. The wool only cost me a couple of dollars, and so far I have completed a beanie and started an infinity scarf. Nothing too fancy yet. I have been scoffing big bowls of chunky vegetable soup and drinking hot mocha's made from instant coffee and milo :) The open windows are carrying the smell of rain and grass and wet road through my home, with big billowing puffs of lace curtain. I have started day dreaming about woolly tights and new boots. YES, I promise I will make the most of the sunshine while its here, but after a long and full summer I am ready for a cool
change....
P.s - I have a new design in the works....

February...
I know I have become a LAZY blogger. But life has been anything but. I have been thrifting up a storm. Collecting loads of new goodies for my home and fabric for my sewing. I have been hitting the beach, dabbling in stand-up paddle boarding along the bay and swimming with the small person. I have a table full of dresses cut that I cant wait to get stuck into. And I have been sending out custom orders. I have made a few of the amazing new barkcloth design and it is my absolute favourite at the moment. I am excited to get a few more made to offer as ready to ship pieces. I will let you all know when they are available. I have even picked up the crochet needle and am brushing up on my skills watching you-tube tutorials. My internet troubles seem to have been resolved, for now, fingers crossed it stays that way. I am itching to get back into the bloggersphere. Who has any new favourite blogs that I should check out?? Please let me know! Thats it in a nutshell. Hope you are well and wonderful and happy. Lots of love, Bec x
